Allround Team carries Cologne’s message into the city
In solidarity. Visible. Unmistakable.
On behalf of the City of Cologne and many dedicated partners, we helped bring a powerful message to the city as part of a campaign: standing up against anti-queer hostility requires both a firm stance and concrete action. At the heart of the initiative was the question: How can we empower people not to simply accept anti-queer attacks, but to actively report them? And how can we reach the broader urban community, encouraging them to show solidarity, take responsibility, and ensure that those affected are not left to face such situations alone?
With our campaign “Anzeigen statt Aushalten”, we drew attention to the rising number of anti-queer assaults and urged people not to remain silent. Be visible. Be loud. Be clear. The message was unequivocal: those who experience hate should know that there are ways to fight back – and that the city’s community stands behind them.

Campaign strategy meets stance
Our marketing business unit was involved from the very beginning—in terms of concept, design, and communication. Together with our partners, we developed a campaign that not only informs but also resonates emotionally and motivates people to take action. Public-facing posters, accompanying online initiatives, and targeted media outreach ensured maximum visibility, both within the city and beyond.
Language that empowers. Design that makes an impact.
Special attention was paid to the tone: clear, empowering, and inclusive. The design was intentionally bold – aimed at capturing attention without being polarizing. Rather than stoking fear, we sought to inspire courage; instead of assigning blame, we aimed to share responsibility. After all, moral courage begins with awareness and the conviction that every voice counts.
A strong network for a strong message
We are proud to have helped shape this important initiative through our creative and communications work. For greater awareness. For better protection. For more solidarity. And for a city where diversity is not just tolerated, but celebrated.
Background
On the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance in 2023, the City of Cologne – in collaboration with the Cologne Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Cologne Police, Kölner Aidshilfe e.V., rubicon e.V., Cologne Pride e.V., and other organizations from Cologne’s LGBTQ+ communities – launched a powerful poster and web campaign. The initiative aimed to encourage the reporting of anti-gay and anti-trans violence, empower those affected, and take a clear stand against anti-queer hostility – in public spaces, in people’s minds, and in their hearts.
