Team spirit, strategy, and Christmas magic

Puzzles, a rally, and the Rhine: the 2025 Christmas party for the Allround Team took place in Cologne. For one afternoon, the entire team swapped their keyboards for group challenges, embarking on a festive program filled with surprises, physical activity, and shared experiences. From the moment we arrived, the air was thick with a mix of anticipation and curiosity – after all, no one knew exactly what to expect.

This year’s Christmas party was all about team spirit, strategy, and a generous dash of holiday magic. Whether we were tackling tricky tasks, exploring the city, or sharing a laugh over our creative solutions, it was clear just how much energy and cohesion exists within our team. And, of course, there was plenty of time to relax and enjoy each other’s company – a perfect way to wrap up a year filled with projects, challenges, and shared successes.

Warm-up round at the harbor Christmas market

The event kicked off in a relaxed setting: we gathered amidst the warmth of mulled wine, soft lighting, and a festive atmosphere. Conversations flowed naturally as colleagues chatted, laughed, raised their glasses, and took a moment to look back on the year. This gentle start gave us the chance to settle in, catch our breath, and calmly prepare for the team challenge ahead. Surrounded by the aroma of warm drinks, wintery music, and a palpable sense of anticipation, the atmosphere made one thing immediately clear: this was going to be a special afternoon.

A view of and through Cologne

Next, we headed to the Ferris wheel by the Chocolate Museum – our official starting point for the active part of the day. The journey there was already filled with a sense of eager anticipation; after all, no one knew what kind of challenges awaited us. Once at the top, we were treated to an impressive view of Cologne: the Rhine, the Old Town, and a sea of lights. It was the perfect moment to take a deep breath, enjoy the scenery, and mentally prepare for the main event: the Christmas rally.

Divided into three teams, the staff had to demonstrate brainpower, team spirit, and just the right touch of Christmas magic to complete the tasks in only 1.5 hours. The challenges took them all over Cologne’s city center, calling for both knowledge and creativity. From questions like “How many steps lead up to the viewing platform at the Chocolate Museum?” and “Find the ‘Rote Funken’ monument and count the buttons on the ‘Funkemariechen’s’ jacket,” to “With which friend did Tünnes and Schääl stay at the ‘Hanenhaus’?” – every task brought new surprises and plenty of laughs. In the end, it all came down to the ultimate question: which team is the cleverest of them all?

The rally concluded right after the Rhine cruise at Cologne’s atmospheric harbor Christmas market. Amidst strings of lights, the scent of mulled wine, and festive music, the awards ceremony took place – followed by a celebratory toast to the winners. There was great joy regarding the results, but an even stronger sentiment was the shared experience of having gone through it all together.

As our CEO Fabienne aptly put it: “Gatherings like these are the true essence of leadership—creating spaces where people can flourish, have fun, and feel connected. These memories extend well beyond the workplace and are a reflection of our company culture.”

Festive Conclusion

We brought the celebration to a relaxed close, accompanied by delicious food, good conversation, and drinks. After the many impressions of the day, it was wonderful to unwind together, raise a glass, and look back on the best moments of the rally. Amidst laughter, shared anecdotes, and the sense that we had grown even closer as a team, the evening drew to an end in a pleasantly festive atmosphere.

A big thank you goes to our hardworking organizing team, who ensured everything ran smoothly with great attention to detail – and, of course, to all our colleagues who helped make this Christmas party such a wonderful, fun, and special occasion. Shared experiences like these stay in our memories for a long time and show just how valuable genuine team cohesion is.
