Queer campaign for the City of Cologne
Anzeigen statt Aushalten
A campaign with a stance and an impact
On the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance, the City of Cologne – in collaboration with the Cologne Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Cologne Police, Kölner Aidshilfe e.V., rubicon e.V., Cologne Pride e.V., and other organizations from Cologne’s LGBTI communities – launched a powerful poster and web campaign. The initiative aimed to encourage the reporting of violence motivated by homo- or transphobia and to send a clear message against anti-queer hostility.
The campaign at the center
The central question was: How can we empower people not to accept anti-queer attacks, but instead to actively report them? And how can we reach the urban community in a way that encourages them to show solidarity and take responsibility?
As Allround Team GmbH, we had the privilege of conceptualizing, designing, and executing this campaign – a project that resonated with us not only professionally but also on a personal level. As an agency with queer leadership and a clear stance, we are committed to helping shape social discourse and fostering greater visibility.

Strategy & Implementation
In close coordination with the participating organizations, we developed a holistic communication concept that addresses both those affected and witnesses. The campaign was designed to empower, raise awareness, and simultaneously provide easily accessible information. Our services included:
- Project coordination and management of all involved partners
- Conceptualization and development of a website for submitting reports, including informational materials
- Development of concise taglines with a clear message
- Design of four poster motifs, displayed throughout Cologn
- Coordination with print service providers and technical implementation
Special attention was paid to using a sensitive and inclusive visual language – one that avoids stigmatization and instead fosters connection. The imagery was intended not only to inform but also to resonate emotionally and inspire action.

The result: visibility, dialogue, empowerment
The “Anzeigen statt Aushalten” campaign was a resounding success. The posters drew attention in public spaces, the website saw active engagement, and the topic sparked numerous conversations – both within the community and beyond. The broad support from the city’s residents and the participating organizations demonstrated that Cologne stands for diversity and against hate.
For us as an agency, this project was more than just an assignment; it was a contribution toward an open, supportive city. We are proud to have been a part of this campaign and look forward to taking further steps together toward a more inclusive society.
