Only a few companies today produce for a local market. The clientele has become global. This makes the business interesting and creates new revenue opportunities but also brings challenges. Within Allround we have an Internationalization Team that helps you to adapt your product and its marketing to local/cultural conditions.
We manage translations in all languages. These are carried out where appropriate in compliance with technical terminology. Beyond this we have a team of professional translators who are familiar with the relevant ISO, IEC, and FDA quality standards and regulations (e.g. IEC 62366), even in safety-critical application areas such as the medical/pharmaceutical branch.
Having worked for leading global players for many years, the team has specialist experience of translations in specific global regions such as EU, USA, Russia and China.
We offer so much more than just standard translation. We are able to deal with complex challenges, such as the standardization of terminology in varied texts. For example, in extensive human-machine dialogues it must be ensured that the same functions are always translated with the same terminology. For this purpose, we have perfected a special service: the ‘database-based consistency check’.
In addition, we ensure the translated terms fit the target hardware in each language. Therefore text length calculation and adaptation of languages to interface displays are also part of the standard repertoire. We use software-based CAT tools (Computer-Aided-Translation) for incorporation into existing structures of hardware, websites and products (e. g. WPML, QT).
Our goal is to make any text relating to your product and/or service relevant and appropriate to the locality and target market it is intended for.
This means taking account of:
- Typical syntax, spelling, idiomatic language, avoidance of anglizisms by usage of local appropriate terminology
- Local specifics of symbolism, religion, politics, gender roles, time zones, brand names, etc.
Social & Intercultural Factors
Importantly, we can adapt your language products to the social
and intercultural requirements of your global customer groups.
- This begins with the description of the target groups and their requirements in relation to local educational background and different cultural customs
- We advise you on the cultural Dos & Don’ts in language use in terms of diversity
- We use an accessible and understandable form of language that supports inclusion
This not only applies to written text, but also to dialogues in
speech recognition systems.
